The lectotype designation of Galeotti 6022 for P. asarifolia (Mathieu & Callejas, Candollea 61(2): 335, 2006) is superfluous. Holo- & isotypes are extant (Mathieu, 2013 [pers. comm.]).

At HAL there are two type specimens: one with the handwriting of Schlechtendahl and only ‘Sept’ as collection date. This one, apparently formerly at B, has to be considered as the holotype. The other one, not annotated by Schechtendahl, is dated ‘Sept 28’ and bears the real collection number ‘859’ that is not cited in the protologue. The isotype at BM is dated ‘Sept 28’ and mentions the provenance ‘Veracruz’. The two specimens at HAL and one at LE (mounted together with Galeotti 6022) bear the number ‘10’. This is not the collection number but refers to the protologue number. The collection number ‘859’ agrees with the numbering of other collections that Schiede made in August and September 1828 (Mathieu, 2013 [pers. comm.]).
